Siesta Key is the most common attraction for anyone visiting Sarasota, Florida. But for those lucky enough to call this serene barrier island home, there’s plenty to enjoy from a local perspective. Feel free to browse Siesta Key Real Estate in the search option above or browse homes below. Whether you’re a homegrown beach bum or a country club sophisticate, Siesta Key has something to offer every walk of life. Beautiful, estate-style neighborhoods cater to families, while amenity-rich condos cater to retirees and snowbirds looking to escape the cold winter months up north. Below is a breakdown of Siesta Key and what you can expect here.

NORTH SIESTA KEY- A Blend of Luxury and Leisure

Siesta Key Real Estate North Siesta Key is best accessed from the Siesta Key North Bridge. While the bridge to the island features some of the best views of boaters and fishermen, come season, expect a bit of a wait to get on and off of the island. Once over the bridge, you’ll notice the ample green space like Nora Patterson Bay Island Park, where residents and visitors fish, walk their dogs, or just enjoy the beautiful scenery.  The two main roads on North Siesta Key are Siesta Drive and Higel Avenue, both of which are studded with million-dollar estate homes boasting panoramic ocean views. North Siesta Key is home to the popular Siesta Key Village, a hub for dining, nightlife and shopping.  When it comes to homes in this area, you can find everything from quaint seaside shacks to jaw-dropping mansions. Like we said, there really is something here for everyone.

THE SIESTA KEY VILLAGE- The Heartbeat of the Island

Siesta Key Village is a thriving center for beachgoers, tourists and locals alike. Here, you can chow down on delicious oysters at Siesta Key Oyster Bar, also known as “SKOB” by the locals, take in live music at Gilligan’s Island Bar & Grill, or enjoy a sumptuous filet at my personal favorite restaurant on Siesta Key at The Summer House for a more white-tablecloth experience. Either way, the Siesta Key Village offers plenty of options within walking distance to the world-famous Siesta Key Beach.

SOUTH SIESTA KEY- Serenity and Seclusion

South Siesta Key is an island gem that is much less popular among tourists and visitors. Easily accessed from the Stickney Point Bridge, the south end of Siesta Key is a lush paradise that runs along Midnight Pass Road. This end of the island offers a much for peaceful setting, with large gated homes sitting on waterfront acreage. Dotted along the main road, you may find the last remaining beach houses – all perfectly quaint and some transformed into tiny beachfront bed and breakfasts.  While south Siesta Key doesn’t have as much nightlife, there are several delicious dining options including the legendary Ophelia’s on the Bay and Turtles, which is coincidentally opposite to Turtle Beach.
